i will wait for the new fuel record. Ken will be tracking the drums next week. I like 2 songs Off WFB. There is no other track that catch's my ears. It was put together well though. Shot down and take me away seem to be there own music. I like them.

I was wondering if it was intended to be listened to. I agree with timmah. Take Me Away and Shot Down are the best tracks -- definitely air time quality songs in my opinion. I kind of liked a couple others, but definitely not all of them. Looking forward to the new Fuel album.

I actually looked on Brett's facebook and there was a post from a person saying he had just listened to the whole album on riptidemusic.com. I figured I'd go and check it out. Either someone leaked it out on the internet, or, well then I can't think of anything, because Brett definitely would've said something by now, then again it was only put up yesterday evening so maybe he will get around to tell us about it. But I am with timmah and craig, even though I liked more than two songs off of the list, I can't wait for the new Fuel album.

Why isn't Brad Stewart mentioned as a contributing musician for World Fire Brigage on the riptide site? Wasn't he orginally?

Craig according to what I heard in interviews, Brett recorded the bass for the album, but again I don't know for sure.

Hey, everyone. Sorry that I didn't get to make everyone aware of this before it happened. I thought it was going to be put up for listening pleasure next week. Nonetheless the record is done and you can take a listen to it at riptidemusic.com. They are a licensing company that will be placing the songs in movie trailers, video games, commercial, etc. the record will be released sometime in the spring. Stay tuned. Sean did the bulk of the rhythm guitar tracks, I did the bass, Ken on drums, Eddie Wohl did the keys and string arrangements, and we had Rob Caggiano(Anthrax) play some lead of Take Me Away and Never Saw the Wall. mike McCready(Pearl Jam) played lead of Shell of Me and Andy Andersson played lead on Free and Sane. Over all, the record came out like I hoped it would. I hope you all enjoy it. Some of my favorite tracks are Spreading My Wings, Free and Sane, Free, and Don't Walk Away. I hope that you can all pick out favorites once you digest it. Enjoy!

I, for one, really dig the majority of the record.
There are a few songs which haven't done it for me, but I'm also a big fan of Sean's work on this record. I dont dislike Smile Empty Soul, but I'm not the biggest fan by any stretch. I think if Smile Empty Soul did something with more aura like World Fire Brigade, that would be very cool.
I also really, really like the heaviness on the record. I'm guessing that maybe some others on here could think that it's TOO heavy in places, but it's a great contrast and shows just how diverse a musician or group of miusicians can be and make it work.
All-in-All, it doesn't give me the fix that Fuel does, but it's damn sure cool! I think it's one of those records that people will ultimately look back on in a few years and realize that it's not as bad as they thought it was... because it's definitely good.
Can't wait for the new Fuel record either! (Oh, and 10 points for having Mike McCready on the record ;D)

Wow- I am not easily impressed (mostly because I am such a Fuel purist) but I am really loving WFB! Great edgy sound from Brett and Sean!
